While the face-lift (T5.1 2010 onwards) sportline/caravelle taillights literally bolt on to a T5 and plug in the wiring is in-fact different to the earlier T5.
Thankfully its a very simple procedure to change the wiring and you’ll only need one special terminal extractor tool (I’d recommend ordering a Laser 3932 Terminal Tool from eBay or Amazon).
